Energy Management System Based on a Gamified Application for Households

Nowadays, the growth in consumption of energy and need to face pollution resulting from its generation are causing concern for consumers providers. Energy residential buildings houses is about 22% total production. Cutting-edge managers aim optimize electrical devices homes, taking into account users’ patterns, goals, needs, by creating awareness helping current change habits. In this way, manager systems (EMSs) monitor manage appliances, automate schedule actions, make suggestions regarding consumption. Furthermore, gamification strategies may patterns through managers, which seen as an option save money. Therefore, paper proposes a personalized strategy EMS adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) decision-making engine classify level persuade end-user reduce modify saving money with gamified motivations. These have proven be effective changing consumer behavior intrinsic extrinsic The interfaces consider three cases summer winter periods calculate saving-energy potentials: (1) type user that interested home-improvement efforts while energy; (2) advocating (3) not energy. Hence, each interface considers end-user’s possibility their habits using devices. Finally, displaying case exemplifies linkage EMSs.
